Scientific tests are not always needed for authentication. Remember that tests don’t show that Picasso painted or drew or created something. They just tell us that yes, maybe, perhaps, he could have done it.

For this reason we only test materials if it is necessary, if it will be useful, if it will help authenticate.

When these tests are required, we can perform any one that is needed:
